High network traffic

same issue on Samsung Galaxy Note 2 LTE (GT-N7105 running stock android v4.3)
And also on Sony Xperia Z1 (C6903 on stock android 4.4.2)

A local picture database with occasional sync from Gmail and Facebook (when 
Wi-Fi is active) is more fast to show picture and use less mobile data.
