The comment section feels a bit too simple #14

The old version had avatars, it was a great way to identify comment authors and to visually differentiate comments.

On the new version, the only way to see the separation between comments is the bold author name. I really like the new design but I find it difficult to see the separation between comments. Some indentation and maybe some spaces or colors could help.

Here's an example :

Much cleaner design, but @hsablonniere is on point with his feedback.

Also, are comments now completely linear unless the author replies? I don't see an option to reply to someone's comment.

The branched out conversations I saw all dated the redesign--with the exception of author replies, such as your screenshot. If there is some mechanism for replying to other comments, it's definitely not clear from the UI.
