Support dynamic port allocation for http channels and nginx plugin

At the moment, we require a port to be given for http channels and for the nginx plugin. It would be more useful if the port could be dynamically allocated instead, or if a unix socket could be used for exposing the http channel via the nginx plugin rather than tcp.
