Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

With the current implementation of our backend request module we aren't taking full advantage of GraphQL's capabilities to generate targeted queries for each use case

Describe the solution you'd like

We should refactor the api module to allow for usage of different response payloads for the same query
