[BUG] Rational Application Developer v9.6.1.3 fails to launch after lombok installation

I installed lombok on Rational Application Developer (RAD) v9.6.1.3 which is based on eclipse. However, the IDE does not open after the installation. Log (attached

) shows NullPointerException.

To Reproduce
Install lombok 1.18.12 on Rational Application Developer

Expected behavior
The IDE will not open

Version info (please complete the following information):

• Lombok version 1.18.12
• Platform
  • Rational Application Developer v9.6.1.3
  • Eclipse 4.6.1 Neon
  • javac 10.0.2

RAD seems to be diverging from eclipse, or using some weird version; reproduction and setting up a debug target for this IDE is quite a lot of work, and it has few users, which means I have to tag this low-prio. More insights or a PR would help a lot to speed up the fix for this.

@schoud did you find any solution for this issue. Did it work Before upgrading RAD.
And if it did which version did you have earlier: Lombok, RAD and java on you machine.
