Hello,
I am importing data to prometheus from a timeseries covering 1week of data in openmetrics format. The import is done from a single file using promtool. The data is collected from the via an api route every 15minutes and saved to multiple files which are then concat'd to the single file.
file ie/
...
...
I see the data in Grafana but only for a short period of time (minutes) before it gets moved to files for deletion
ie/ 01GDN8PW7B37NFPZBPVQS3Q11C.tmp-for-deletion
I have tried setting a retention time & size, using the defaults, disabling compaction but I cannot get this information to hang around. The removal timeframe/block selection is random leaving gaps in the grafana graph. Initially I see all the information and then quite quickly, within a couple of minutes, the data is removed.
I would like to be able to backfill the data from previous timeseries and determine the retention period.
