Top Solid infill creates surface artefacts #11565
Comments
Hello, @GuyH77, could you share a 3MF file, please? |
I've run into a similar situation after upgrading the XL to Alpha 2 and using the Slicer 2.7 Alpha 1. Mine almost looks like a checkerboard pattern almost like it's not enough top layers. This printed fine in 2.6 and XL 4.7.2 Here is a 3mf file of it. |
Thanks to you both. We will look into it. It is clearly a bug. |

Fixed in 2.7.0-beta1. Closing. |
Description of the bug
There has been a change between 2.6.1 and 2.7alpha1. The solid infill is no longer created from corner to corner, it now jumps around which creates ridges and impacts the top layer quality.
