Version

2.2

Operating system type + version

windows 10, but that's not the problem

3D printer brand / version + firmware version (if known)

No a 3d printer issue

Behavior

The Z seperation distance isn't correctly set, my previously issue has been closed with the reason of an "explanation" that isn't one, of you set 0.1mm of distance between support and the piece in Z space, there should be 0.1, not 0.5, so there's something wrong... it just make us waste filament in poor quality print because of that.

But there actually is 0.1mm gap because bottom of the overhang is printed with a bridging flow (=0.4mm layer like nozzle diameter). I can understand that it is quite confusing for users and it might not be ideal but that is how PrusaSlicer and upstream Slic3r works with the supports. You can find more discussion about this here #102 and here #2766. Those issues are open so there is no need to open another one. You can continue discussion there. Closing here.
