I was curious when/if I need to worry about black dropping py2 support, since I want to use it in a project where we're committed to supporting py2 for as long as it remains feasible (in spite of the challenges).
The only thing I found was a comment from on #85 , saying that py2 support will never -- at least for the foreseeable future -- be dropped. That's great! Fantastic, even!
I think it would be even nice if that were said somewhere in black's docs so that you don't have to search the issue tracker to find out the policy such as it is. Maybe just
python2 support
black will support python 2.7 for the foreseeable future. There are no plans to drop python2 support.
But where should this go?
