Part 1: #55 (comment)

That's precisely what I did. Also, I deleted the ARK_01234 folder created by FastARK and sent the downloaded and afterwards extracted ARK_01234 folder to the PS Vita and PS TV after switching its K.BIN file from the downloaded and extracted VitaBubble folder one.

Also, speaking of reading the installation instructions again, if it wasn't for me, one wouldn't even know he/she had to install Ape Quest or LocoRoco Midnight Carnival in the first place for this to work and the instructions aren't still clear because it isn't told if one may delete ArkFast after using it, if he/she has to run ARK-4 before replacing the ARK_01234 folders and with the K.BIN file, what do you mean by replacing ARK_10234 folder, i. e, if one should delete the ARK_01234 folder created by ArkFast and transfer the downloaded and exrracted ARK_01234 folder or if one should transfer the downloaded and extracted ARK_01234 folder to ux0:pspemu/PSP/SAVEDATA/ after replacing its K.BIN file and replace the files when asked, what does he/she have to do with Ape Quest or LocoRoco Midnight Carnival and when can he/she finally run ARK-4.

@Windows10User2 Windows10User2 changed the title Read the installation instructions again. You have to copy the K.BIN file from VitaBubble folder into ARK_01234 folder. C1-2858-3 error when running ARK on the PS Vita and PS TV Part 2 Dec 18, 2022

Nobody else is encountering this problem.
Perhaps you should make a video showing the steps you are taking to install ARK so that we can see where the issue might be.

Actually, there are some users also having this issue like one can read here and here.

both of those users eventually got it right by following instructions, you're still the only one I know unable to get anything working at all. I can't do anything unless you make a detailed description of what you're doing so I can see the issue.

Since when did they got it right? Anyway, like I told before, after running a PSP game (I only have ISOs in the PSP, PS Vita and PS TV), I have the C1-2858-3 error and ARK closes (this is when ARK works on the PS TV). On the PS TV, after running ARK, it crashes often with that error (C1-2858-3) during the initial screen with a black background and white letters stating kernel exploit failed so one is unable to even reach the part where one chooses the game he/she wants to play (on the PS Vita at least one reaches it). Also, speaking about instructions, if it wasn't me, one wouldn't even know he/she supposedly had to install a PSN game before installing ARK.

Most of those people had issues back when firmware 3.65+ wasn't supported, or they didn't correcty installed K.BIN, they all got it eventually.
"Kernel exploit failed" means you didn't install K.BIN correctly, follow the instructions and copy the correct K.BIN file for PS Vita.

I already did and how do you know their issues were fixed if they didn't say it? Also, I always installed them in the 3.60 FW.

The error is very clear, you haven't properly installed K.BIN from VitaBubble folder into ARK_01234 folder.
It's as simple as that.

But I did it and one of the two issues I only have in the PS TV and sometimes I don't, which is odd. What about the C1-2858-3 error issue?

What do you mean "what about the C1-2858-3 error"?
I've said it many times before and this is the last one: if you are unable to follow simple instructions, then it's not an issue I (or anyone) can resolve.

I'm closing this and any further duplicate of this since nobody can confirm this as an actual issue.

Then it's me who doesn't follow instructions when you don't even understand what I write and it was thanks to me the instructions were changed (the part where one has to download and install Ape Quest or LocoRoco Midnight Carnival before installing this app) so I guess they're not always right so even if following them one may have problems (like I'm having now with the latest ones).

I'm having two different issues. When running a PSP game with ARK (I only have ISOs), it crashes with the C1-2858-3 error. This happens in both the PS Vita and the PS TV.

Regarding the other issue, which only happens in the PS TV, it's more difficult to explain and happens right after running ARK (I can't even get to the menu where one chooses the game he/she wants to play) so could I take a photo of it and show you? Anyway, when I don't have it (which is rare) on the PS TV, I have the other issue (the C1-2828-3 one) often.

The users whose posts I showed you apparently have the same issues. And like I said many times, I followed the instructions and I still have these issues. What about the users whose posts I mentioned?
