Move Email / Slack etc options to main Notifications screen #549

One more request for this:

@stevejburge I feel like the Notification Type option should be linked to the Who to notify option. If we remove the option from the user's profile to choose where to receive the notifications, the current options on the Who to notify box only make sense for the "Email" channel. So my proposal is to have a conditional display of Who to notify box. If "Slack" is selected, we only display a text field where we could type one Slack channel or user to receive the notifications. Maybe the Slack/Email option field should be inside the Who to Notify box, as the first field: |
And maybe we can add a third option "Channel selected by the user" which allows users to choose the desired notification channel for that workflow (keeping the current behavior we have now), which displays the same list of options as the "E-mail" option. |
100% agree here, @andergmartins. This is the right place for it. |
It seems strange that this part of the notifications is hidden away inside user accounts. We should find a way to move this into the main Notifications area

Maybe there could be a 5th box in the main Notifications area: "How to notify"
Or "Slack" could become an option in the "Who to notify?" box
