Advanced search fields dont return results

Expected behavior

User should be able to add a value and search on a search field in the main search bar.

Actual behavior

User is taken back to the advanced search form.

Steps to replicate

https://catalog-qa.princeton.edu/advanced
select keyword, type alien. enter; it will return no results. This is happening for all the search fields.

This issue was not found in production but in catalog-qa when I tested the main branch.
