A simple example that shows deployment time vs. runtime (f.k.a. "inside" vs "outside") show the difference between getting the current date/time inside the body of a Lambda vs. a declaration outside.

I think we have examples that cover the useful scenarios here. Our quickstart and programming model docs should highlight this in a simpler setting - but I don't beleive we need a dedicated sample for this. Let's focus on fleshing out quickstart and programming model docs first and we can see what makes sense for this in those two contexts.

Agreed, the idea was to have an example in the doc itself, not a standalone example in the repo. I'd suggest putting this in the programming model doc, but I'll move the suggestion to a bullet within the doc itself.
