Songs can allow us to communicate in a way that words by themselves can't. What song do you feel best communicates a feeling, a moment in time, a message you have wanted to express? Explain what it is, and how the song manages to do so.
Write at least three paragraphs.
Following the PIE method. Each paragraph should have:
- ...a clearly identifiable point.
- ...an illustration of the point. Use a specific example, fact, quote, or detail. Avoid vague statements.
- ...an explanation. Link the illustration to the point and/or the point to the purpose/thesis of the essay.
- Proper spelling, clear wording, and correct grammar.
- The explanation of the message you want to express.
- How well you explain how the song expresses the message through lyrics and music.
- Explanation of why a song is the best medium.
