  • Title: Cache Master data in Redis using Python

  • Brief description about the content to be covered:

Redis is an in-memory data structure store. It is a disk-persistent key-value database with support for multiple data structures. It offers a number of features that are natural to find in a database like replication, durability, clustering, and high availability. We can use Redis with any of supported languages like Java, Python, PHP, C, C++, C#, JavaScript, Node. js, Ruby, R, Go, and many others. Here, we will go through caching data using python.

    Agenda:

    • Why Cache
    • About Redis
    • Redis vs other Cache approach
    • Functionalities of Redis
    • Python hands-on with Redis
    • Demo of Redis with python Flask app
  • Time required for the talk - 1 hr

  • Link to slides / demos - Link

  • About yourself (Please include social media links, twitter, facebook) - Sumit Kumar, Lead Software Engineer at EPAM India.

  • Availability (When would you be able to give the talk?) - 19th Feb - Around 12 pm
