Hello all, I'm a bit new to programming, and I'm trying to install Python3.8.15 and the associated pip on Ubuntu 18.04.6 LTS. I installed the Python build dependencies for my operating system (windows 10) with this:
and then installed pyenv: curl pyenv.run | bash
Which all ran smoothly, then I attempted to install Python 3.8.15 with this line of code: pyenv install 3.8.15 and got this error:
/mnt/c/Users/thoma/.pyenv/pyenv-win/bin/pyenv: 3: /mnt/c/Users/thoma/.pyenv/pyenv-win/bin/pyenv: cygpath: not found
/mnt/c/Users/thoma/.pyenv/pyenv-win/bin/pyenv: 3: exec: cmd: not found
I'm not sure how to fix this issue. I have removed pyenv and tried to install it again, but it still doesn't work. Does anyone know what this error is caused by? Please let me know!
