  • Task is more clear.
  • Task is shorter.
  • Task is used in CP terminology.

vs.

  • Operation is commonly used in FJSP.

I really like "Task" but deviating from the "operation" standard might not be appreciated.

Task is a better name for assign I think.

So, operations are things that need to be done. Task is the actual thing that is scheduled.

I renamed "assign" variables to "task", but I think that renaming "operation" to "task" makes more sense.
