What OS / Hardware are you using? P.S. |
Hi GammaC0de, Info from Pyload:
I must admit, that I am not very deep into pyload. Without any tutorial or step by step instructions I am helples. |
OK, so try replacing unrar with 7zip, probably your unrar version is very old.. PS, if you try to unpack on windows the downloaded file that give you this error, does it unpacks OK? |
sorry for the late response. PC: Everything is fine. |
@Bava1980 Can you please enable debug mode ,retry and then post the log again? |
here we go:
|
Is the archive password protected? what happens if you run |
The archive is not password protected. I am not sure how to run this command (right now) I will google this and post an update soon. |
What is the output the command |
You have 7zip version 9.20 installed which is very old (2010-11-18, see https://www.7-zip.org/history.txt) and this is most likely the cause of your problem. How did you installed |
I did nothing. There is a onboard software center on the nas that did the installation of pyload. |
Maybe upgrade 7zip by installing entware (instruction for Zyxel 542: https://github.com/Entware/Entware/wiki/Install-on-Zyxel-NAS542) |
Thank you! Now i got this and also found 7z. But whats to do now? If i click the file i just download it. |
If you have installed enteware correctly then you can install p7zip using |
Try |
~ $ /opt/bin/7z |
search for 7z |
Maybe |
nope: ~ # /opt/bin/p7zip |
Where to download |
The Link in the entware repo is: http://pkg.entware.net/binaries/armv5/p7zip_16.02-1_armv5soft.ipk |
OK, you should have /opt/bin/7za |
This line is a good thing, it says that if there is a /opt/etc/profile then execute it.. can you do |
here we go: ~ # cat /opt/etc/profile Please note it's not a system-wide settings, it's only for a currentterminal session. Point your f\w (if necessery) to execute /opt/etc/profileat console logon.export PATH=/opt/bin:/opt/sbin:$PATH You may define localization#export LANG='ru_RU.UTF-8' |
This file looks OK. can you do |
~ # echo $PATH |
OK so the PATH is fine then. 🤔 Can you enbel debug mode in pyload, restart pyload and then post the log from the beginning of pyload's startup? |
here we go:
|
You are still using old 7z (v9.20) 🤦♂️ We have to edit pyload startup script so the PATH has /opt first. How have you installed pyload in you zyxel? |
Pyload is a package in the repo of the NAS installing a very old version. |
Can you upload pyLoad_0.4.9_arm_005.zpkg to zippyshare? |
no.. but is here: https://www.mmnt.net/db/0/0/ftp.zyxeltech.de/NSA325/4.80/zypkg direct: ftp://ftp.zyxeltech.de/NSA325/4.80/zypkg/pyLoad_0.4.9_arm_005.zpkg |
Can p7zip handle extracting rar files? I cannot download from ftp://ftp.zyxeltech.de/NSA325/4.80/zypkg/pyLoad_0.4.9_arm_005.zpkg, can you upload the file to zippyshare? |
Sorry you are right. was not testing the link. I am not sure about your question:
Like i said.. sometimes it is working. Mostly not. Windows 7z is able to extract rar. |
Just downloaded my own file by pyload.. this works. But this is .7z not rar:
|
Yes but you have p7zip (http://p7zip.sourceforge.net/) and probably can only handle 7z archives. Try installing unrar so it will handle rar extraction |
I think we already did this. But lets give it a try:
Restartet Pyload and still failing:
|
OK, I finally found the path issue 🎉 Edit /etc/init.d/pyload, |
Edit all, it cannot hurt. |
ok.. done. but still not working:
|
Whare is the log line "ADDON ExtractArchive: Found`, etc...? The errors comes when p7zip is used to extract rar files :( |
all old versions :-( |
Have you restarted pyload after editing? |
you may believe it or not.. Yes i did.. twice.. and it was not working.. This morning after the restart of the NAS I was feeling lucky and wanted to have a look again .. and look what happend: Having a look at the logs was showing something new:
and: 23.12.2019 08:29:40 INFO Package finished: BLA3 Looks like a complete system boot was needed.. ¯_(ツ)_/¯ I will now perform a download of a different file and will check if it is working. But I have a goold feeling about it. |
yes.. now it looks like is working. Short solution description (if you dont want to read the complete conversation):-Update Unrar & 7z |
