Reasons for the request

Sequence of events

  • I started PRQL back in 2022
  • One of the first contributors, Charlie (qorrect), put his PyPI creds in GitHub, which we used to publish prql-python
  • Charlie stepped back from contributing to open-source
    • We haven't been in touch. But he wouldn't have reason to disagree with this request
  • We then changed the name of the package to prqlc. Publishing that from GitHub used Charlie's creds, which meant that Charlie was listed as the only maintainer
  • His creds don't have an email attached, so we can't publish a new version.
    • And even if we could, we'd only be able to change it with the key in GitHub, which isn't great...

So I would like to change the maintainer of that package to me + at least other active maintainer, such as @aljazerzen

Contact and additional research

For transparency, my 2FA keys also stopped working, and I opened #4179 a few days ago. it shoudn't impact this request.

Thank you!

I realize the requests are really backed up. We'd really love to be able to publish prqlc again.

It seems quite unambiguous that this is a legit request, given I've maintained PRQL since the beginning, and this is only under another account because of the author field.

Would there be any way of actioning this?
