It seems that the verb hack can be used without being transitive but would require an additional modifier or preposition to make sense in context.
For example, I am going to hack into the computer system is a transitive use of the verb, while I am going to hack with my machete uses the verb intransitively, but with additional information to clarify what is being hacked.
A good hack that won't alter the Jesth acronym would probably be this: Just Extract Sections Then Hack'em.
