OS X 10.6 / Snow Leopard: building 2.6 maintenance release fails for some modules (architecture issue) #51208

dear python team, dear community, trying to build the 2.6 maintenance release fails to build some libraries attached is the configure and make output. /var/tmp $ /sw/bin/svn co /var/tmp/release26-maint $ ./configure checking for --with-universal-archs... 32-bit checking MACHDEP... darwin By default, distutils will build C++ extension modules with "g++".
