@avalentino we are in the process of migrating mpop and mipp to satpy, which supports python3. mpop and mipp are not going to be developed further anyway, so I think the recommendation is to switch to satpy.

Thanks for the information @mraspaud.
I guess that this issue can be closed in this case.
Is there a timeline for satpy? I would like to push patpy in debian as soon as it becomes stable.
