- HyperSpy: Python library with tools for multi-dimensional data analysis, which kikuchipy builds upon.
- EMsoft: Series of Fortran programs which, among numerous other tasks, can perform dictionary indexing of EBSD and Transmission Kikuchi Diffraction (TKD) patterns.
