1.) digitize a polygon

2.) try to add a ring in the polygon

3.) make a self intersection

4.) qgis crashes with the following error message in the console

Warning 1: Ring Self-intersection at or near point -1.4855 1.57082
*** glibc detected *** double free or corruption (out): 0x0072a248 ***

Fixed in and backported to stable branch.


  • resolution was changed from to fixed
  • status_id was changed from Open to Closed
