Original Redmine Issue: 4168
Affected QGIS version: master
Redmine category:projection_support

When defining a custom projection, numbers are stripped from the +proj projection name for the projection_acronym. Then the projection doesn't show up as a CRS choice elsewhere in QGIS (it is only in the Custom CRS definition window). ie: +proj=eck4, projection_acronym=eck. If I edit the sqlite table and correct the projection_acronym, the custom projection shows up as a custom CRS choice.
