Currently map edge in the print composer is not an obstacle for vector feature labels, thus labels of objects located at the edge of map composition are not visible at all or are partially visible - part of them is "behind" map edge.

It would be nice to have checkbox somewhere in labelling configuration "map edge is an obstacle" to force new labelling engine to take into account map edge while calculating optimum label placement.

Maybe I don't understand correctly, but seems this is already implemented. You need to open "Automated Placement Engine" dialog (from labeling properties dialog) and uncheck "Show partial labels" checkbox

You are right. I totally missed the "advanced" settings button. Still haven't got used to new UI.


  • status_id was changed from Open to Closed
