Create buffers without intersections.

image 00 - buffers creating settings (both 1.8 and 2.2)
image 01 - old buffers created by 1.8 (OK)
image 02 - new buffers created by 2.2 (WRONG)

  • fixed_version_id was configured as Version 2.4
  • category_id was configured as 44
  • status_id was changed from Open to Feedback

Now I see what really happend.
Buffer creating OK, this is rendering / view problem.

qgis 1.8 shows overlayed elements "double" - so overlayed parts show as "darker" on image 01.

qgis 2.2 shows overlayed elements once - lover element is full covered by upper when both are from the same shp.

you have two kind of transparency in qgis 2.x: the layer transparency and the symbol transparency. If you use the first (not available in 1.8) then you see the effect you describe.


  • status_id was changed from Feedback to Closed
  • resolution was changed from to invalid

The "ftools" category is being removed from the tracker, changing the category of this ticket to "Processing/QGIS" to not leave the category orphaned.
