The map rotation should be more intuitive. Currently, one can only set the rotation with numerically in the status bar.

A new interactive rotation tool could be combined with the pan tool. When pressing a modifier key the rotation mode could be activated.

I envisage a rotation tool similar to OpenLayers 3: http://openlayers.org/en/v3.2.0/examples/drag-rotate-and-zoom.html

However, maybe only limited to rotating. I find the combined rotate/zoom a bit hard to use.
