It would be a cool feature to have a unified styling of geojson objects. One existing approach is https://github.com/mapbox/simplestyle-spec/ .
The implementations are https://github.com/mapbox/simplestyle-spec/wiki/Implementations
As you see also, github supports the styling out of the box ;-) .

This would be a nice feature, especially considering something similar is already possible with GeoPackages.

Having this as a built in feature would greatly simplify our experimental exporter plugin, see https://github.com/cividi/spatial-data-package-export, implementing writing styled geojson according to the mentioned spec based on a subset of qgis symbology features. Reading them is a bigger challenge as geojson styles are not necessarily discrete.
