Redmine category:map_legend
Assignee: Nyall Dawson

The reported issue in #22916 (not showing color wheel nor edit symbol button when single symbol is applied over some renderer styles) concerns also 2.5D renderer. I however notice that if you apply over the 2.5D renderer a categorized style and then switch to single symbol, the color wheel is available.

This is still a valid issue on QGIS 3.16.15 and 3.22.2.

There are three colours (roof, walls and shadow). It is not clear which one should be exposed and configurable via colour wheel.

When you switch from 2.5D renderer to categorized or single symbol renderer, the color used by the color wheel is the roof's. So this is probably the one to expose when people not yet switched to any of the "usual" renderers.
The "Edit symbol" entry would, I guess, allow access to the three symbols/colors, same as when switched to the other renderers.
