[Layout] Adding a scale bar before any map item makes it unusable

The title is a bit wrong but...
In a new print layout, add a scale bar, its "map" property is empty and it only shows 0
Now add a map item, the scale bar map property now shows 'Map 1' but still it's not resized to match the linked map (only 0 is shown)
Afaics, you'd need to play with the scalebar units parameter before the scale bar is refreshed. Even creating another map item and switching (back and forth) does nothing nor zooming in the linked map extent.
