composer, labels in 3d map not visible

In layout (composer) with a 3dmap, labels are not visible.
3d map canvas, shows the labels in a labeld layer correct.
Affected is 3.4.1 and master

I cannot reproduce - works fine for me.

In 3D view configuration dialog, there is a checkbox to enable/disable rendering of labels. Maybe you have created layout with 3D view with rendering of labels disabled (which is the default), then you enabled rendering of labels in the 3D map canvas? These two 3D views do not share the same configuration - you may need to copy the 3D configuration from your 3D map canvas in layout to have labels enabled in both.
