Always show number of currently marked objects in status bar at the bottom.
Background: When the map is moved or other actions are performed the user doesn't know how many features are currently already selected
A hidden hint in the messages window is not user-friendly.

Looks like we can close this issue.
What I would find very valuable would be a label for core usability features /enhancements that should be implemented with higher priority

@tschmetzer we use to tag as "high priority" only issue causing crash or data corruption. Anything else is arguable if it is high priority or not. It can be discussed of course :)

I take from your comments that high priority is used only for severe bugs. I'd consider it helpful to have something similar for feature requests. Otherwise it might be difficult to find out what feature request are worth tackeling first. Don't know what you guys think?
