Plugin manager doesn't work with proxy #43284
Comments
@exrtzen is this a question or a bug report? |
the question |
@exrtzen have you set the proxy in QGIS network configurations? |
no, default settings |
@exrtzen can you please give it a try? QGIS proxy configs do not have mandatory auth . |
still doesn't work :( |
any idea? |
@exrtzen According to your wireshark screenshot, it looks like it fails on "Proxy Authentification Required" If you proxy is defined at system level, I think you should check the "Use proxy for web access" checkbox and select the "Default Proxy" type of proxy. It it doesn't works, could you enter manually your proxy configuration in QGIS, see if it works |
All actions were ineffective. Are there any other ways to fix the problem? |
Did you also try to setup manually the whole proxy configuration inside QGIS? Could you share screenshot of the configuration and Wireshark? |
407 error means that no valid credential (login/password) have been set to pass through the proxy. Could you show me a screenshot of your proxy configuration inside QGIS |
It looks like you didn't set any login/password to your configuration but wireshark seems to say the proxy need one |
Can't use the no proxy function? We are interested in this particular function. |
@Katarka on QGIS side? or your proxy side? |
On our side. This is why we want to use the no proxy function. |
@Katarka but the log seems to speaks clear: proxy authentication required. |
So the question arises, is it possible to use the program without using a proxy, as it was in QGIS 2.18? |
@Katarka just do not use the "use proxy for web access option". |
This is the problem, that with any change in the settings, the connection to the repository is not available. |
@Katarka in QGIS settings? |
Yes. With the same settings - no proxy. In version 2.18 everything works |
weird, if no proxy is configured in QGIS then it uses the system proxy configs (if any). |
@gioman Something else can be used besides (https://plugins.qgis.org/plugins/plugins.xml?qgis=3.18), since there is access to the resource, but it is closed from the program |

Hello, I already install QGIS 3.18 Desktop and we have a proxy in the network.
When I try to connect to the repository in the app (https://plugins.qgis.org/plugins/plugins.xml?qgis=3.18) - connection error
But if I open this link in a browser we have no problem. So what should we open on a proxy to the repository works in the desktop app?
thanks!
