What is the bug or the crash?

In the old "Raster calculator" algorithm and the one in "Raster" menu, the (wrongly named?) "Layers widget used to display loaded layers with their bands along. Convenient when you have no idea/memory of the number of bands of your layers. This exists also in the Raster calculator tool of the top Raster menu.

In the new (virtual or not) "Raster calculator" algorithms, from the "Raster Calculator Expression", the Layers widget only mentions the layer name and consequently, double-clicking adds the first band.

Steps to reproduce the issue

  1. Add raster layer(s) to a project
  2. Open Processing Raster calculator algorithm
  3. Press the expression button, opening the "Raster calculator expression" widget
  4. In the "Layers" widget, only the layer name is shown and if you double-click on it, you add the the first band file@1

raster_calclayers_new

In the older algorithm, it would display as follows
