[BUG] UI ignores pending option info when creating connections

Describe the bug:

when you create a connection, for example, and you add one option, but you do not click on the green check box to actually add the option value to the collection / object - the UI allows you to create the connection and just ignores the pending data

To Reproduce:

do the above

Expected behavior:

any pending option info is automatically confirmed and included in the connection
