Steps to reproduce

I have my music library synced via Cryptomator - How it works for the purposes of playing back a song from it is that it decrypts a folder from i.e. Dropbox and the mounts the plaintext folder as a FUSE volume.

Quod Libet cannot scan or play back from this FUSE volume - If you make this the scan directory and then scan, it'll freeze and never complete. If you open a song from there with Open With > Quod Libet it can't be played back and you get an I/O error that I attached below.

Other Windows native music players like Media Player or Groove Music work as expected if a little slow.

Test System

Which version of Quod Libet?

4.5

Which operating system

Windows 10 Enterprise, version 21H1

Additional Information

The error when opening the file is here.

This seems to be rather similar to this issue, which was closed without any fixes.

I did some more searching, and found this other issue. Which led me to this bug in CPython. So in conclusion it seems like this is a known upstream bug in CPython file path library! I'm closing it as there's nothing to do in Quod Libet.
