Having a variable accessible in the config file that points to the current config/data directory might be useful.

The path to the executable might be helpful as well.

I added config.configdir and config.datadir to the new config. Not convinced the path to the executable is useful, but if someone has a concrete usecase for it, I'd be happy to add it as well.
