See Chromium and Widevine : qutebrowser - apparently newer Chromium versions download Widevine to ~/.config and have a JSON file with the proper location.

Opened a Qt bug: [QTBUG-86007] Read widevine from ~/.config - Qt Bug Tracker

But qutebrowser could probably also read that file by itself and pass --widewine-path to Chromium accordingly (but not in all Qt versions, see [QTBUG-78709] Widevine fails in sandbox when specified via 'widevine-path' switch - Qt Bug Tracker).

Relevant Chromium files:

I bumped into #3639 because of that error m7701-1003, but this thread seems the most recent one referring to this widevine thingy.

I did not find a path /usr/lib/qt/plugins/ppapi/ where libwidevinecdmadapter.so is, so that I can put that fullpath in c.qt.args. So I just intalled chromium-widevine and everything works. Is this the way to solve the issue or am I doing more than what's needed?
