RaidGuild DAOHaus V2 to V3 migration

Project Idea

We need to move from DAOHaus V2 to V3 due to the upcoming deprecation of V2. This is a simple migration that simply moves membership and funds to a new DAO. Further work will be needed to customize the new DAO specific to RaidGuild needs.

Summary

1. lay out the pitfalls involved in the migration ($300)
   • Create document with:
     • current features we'll lose
     • which safes are moving
     • which safes are not
     • which addresses will need to change
     • and more...
2. consolidate existing assets into just a few places (treasury + 1-3 minions) ($500)
   • Create a set of proposals to empty minions
   • Proposals will be clear that it's part of this effort (with links to what)
3. take snapshot of member shares and summon v3 DAO ($200)
   • Make announcement of snapshot
     • new members should wait until v3 is ready
     • rage quit / rage kick should happen before snapshot not after
4. change any pointers to new DAO (smart escrow, dungeon master, etc) ($1000)
   • Make changes to any code that uses DAO addresses
     • anything that checks DAO membership should check ERC-20 balance of new token
     • anything that moves money to vault will need new target
       • tributes
       • consultations (turned off right now)
       • any others
   • Deploy updates when v3 is ready
5. move assets to appropriate place on v3 DAO ($400)
   • Make clear proposals to move funds to v3
6. watch DAO until nothing is remaining, transfer any incoming assets ($500)
   • Members are free to ragequit at this point, only a few need to stick around
   • Set up notifications for particular addresses receiving funds
   • If funds are sent, forward to v3 DAO
7. compensation for v2>v3 for efforts which this undermines ($200)
   • We asked this group to put together a proposal, hopefully this isn't insulting for their time

Why should we build this?

We need to get off v2 and onto v3 so we can start building on it there. This is just the first step, and ideally we will incorporate all sorts of stuff, using v3 toolkit as it is envisioned.

Anyone wanting to join this party should let plor know. I didn't intend to take this all on myself, so the above should be taken as a set of requirements that the party can tackle together.

A discussion over quorum came up. It is out of the scope of this RIP, but we should put it on the table to be discussed after migration has completed. V2 didn't support quorum but now we have that ability and should consider it if we want to force voter participation to a certain extent.

I wanted to update here that all milestones but the last have been released. All connections to the v2 DAO should be severed, but it will be monitored for a few months.

In addition updates to the handbook have been merged. There might be additional references that need to be updated, but the main references to the v2 DAO have been changed.
