It's just a different approach to working with threads. RainLoop Webmail works directly with the mail server, so your view type will create extra load on the server and reduce the speed of the application. |
Hi, I haven't tested threads, but i don't find the option to activate this view ? |
I don't have the option. Is gmail accepting Threading ? |
Gmail does not support IMAP threading. |
another reason to have my own server :D Thank you |
Well, their web interface has support for threads, but not in IMAP. |
Even tho it would reduce the performance in some way, I would really appreciate it as an opt-in option. Is it hard to implement? I know PHP pretty well - perhaps I could help there. |
I came back to this thread for ask if any change happened on Thread view for Gmail account... Thanks |
Any news for 2017? |
Any news for April 2017? :) |
And for October 2017 ? |
and for november 2017? :) |
Is server-side IMAP support really required for this? Can this not be done client-side as per https://stackoverflow.com/questions/6088914/gmail-imap-how-to-get-conversations-threads-list ? Using X-In-Reply-To header? |
Can we please reopen this if appropriate @RainLoop ? AFAIK this can be done client-side. |
+1 more explanations on why this is bound to server side implementation is welcome. |
Question here, If I could ask, for those who deploy Rainloop for GMail accounts? Is the GMail webmail client limited in some way? |
Threaded view is different than conversation view. Conversation view allow to easily view messages from current thread but from all folders, also Sent or Trash. |
This view (like default gmail) is very useful when following on differents subjects !!
