System charts installed by Rancher are released via rancher/charts, where a given chart is published once it has reached at least RC status.
But what if we wanted to test such charts against Rancher earlier in the process?

We could achieve this by exposing an additional setting via an environment variable, not be meant to be set by end users, enabling a custom source to be configured instead of rancher/charts to enable custom versions of system charts to be installed by Rancher.
