ranger-master 1.9.0b5

  • Operating system and version: gentoo
  • Terminal emulator and version: byobu-shell 5.112
  • Python version: 3.5.3
  • Ranger version/commit: 1.9.0b5
  • Locale: it_IT.UTF8

this is the error

*** stack smashing detected ***: python3.5 terminated; report to <http://bugs.gentoo.org/>
                                                                                          [1]    7541 killed ranger

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

  1. install ranger on hardened gentoo amd64 no-multilib
  2. run ranger

TRACEBACK

can't run ranger in debug mode because it throw the same error

Can you reproduce it on 1.8.1?

Yes, in that version a core file is produced
