Is it an actual bug?
Actual bug

Did you check if the bug has already been reported?
Yes

Describe the bug
I am using sleek on a linux machine that is constantly on, minimized in the system tray. As needed I click on the sleek icon in the system tray to open its window and see my todo. However every few days, when opening the sleek window I get a totally blank page, with nothing displayed. The system tray icon works fine, though, showing a menu from which I can select the todo file I want. However, even switching to a different todo file, the main sleek window remains blank. From the icon menu, I can quit sleek, which seems to close regularly. Restarting it everything is fine.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Open sleek
  2. Minimize it to the system tray
  3. At some point opening the sleek window from the system tray icon will deliver a blank window

Do you see any error entries in sleeks developer tools?
Noticing now I could do that... will try the next time the issue occurs.

Expected behavior
Sleek should always show its window, not a blank one.

@callegar thanks for your feedback. I'm currently rewriting a huge chunk of sleek, maybe even the whole up. So I cannot deliver a quick fix as I don't have any time to investigate here. Hope you understand. Once the rewriting is done, I hope this problem doesn't occur any longer.

Happened again. A quick note to add the fact that when the issue occurs it is impossible to get to the developers tools.

As this is referring to 1.3.1, it will most likely not be relevant any longer. I will not continue working on the old code base.

With the release of 2.0. this bug should be obsolete. It can already be tested on the latest developer preview: https://github.com/ransome1/sleek/releases/tag/v2.0.0-dev5

I would suggest to close here in order to get the issue list cleaned up. And if the error really persists in 2.0 we can reopen.

Is that ok @callegar ?

@callegar I re-implemented the tray function in the latest developer preview of sleek 2.0. Can I ask you to check if you can reproduce this behavior with that version?
