Currently, the extension does not seem to handle accented letters very well. For example, if I use the extension to search for "Gomez," it will return papers authored by "Gomez," but it will not return papers authored by "Gómez":

If, on the other hand, I use Zotero's own in-app search bar to search for "Gomez," Zotero will return papers for both authors/spellings. The reverse is also true, as shown in the attached screenshots.
