BUILD FAILED (Linuxmint 20.3 using ruby-build 20230710)

Hi rbenv team,

I am attempting to install Ruby version 3.1.4 on my Linuxmint 20.3 but am getting said BUILD FAILED error. Any ideas?

It looks like Homebrew is mentioned in the error message:

make: symbol lookup error: /home/linuxbrew/.linuxbrew/lib/libpthread.so.0: undefined symbol: __libc_vfork, version GLIBC_PRIVATE

Can you run env | grep linuxbrew to scan your environment variables for Homebrew configuration and retry Ruby compilation without any linuxbrew stuff; i.e. temporary remove linuxbrew from the compilation environment (unless you are sure it's really necessary)? Thanks
