Validation For Snap Maintenance #7221
Comments
This is an excellent idea, thank you @boukendesho Please go ahead and take up maintenance of the snap package. Let me know if you need and help. |
Excellent idea given how outdated are official linux repos regarding rclone. One pence worth of advice: please add
to your snap Otherwise snap installed rclone won't be able to access any mounted drives as snap is heavily sandboxed. You will probably have to explain to snapcraft community why rclone needs it. Should be straightforward in this case. It is something I discovered when publishing other software using snap. When it is live please send PR to update https://rclone.org/install/ page - so people can find this new way of installing. |
@kapitainsky Got it, thank you! |
Many thanks to all of you! |
