When I see "gem update" pull down a new gem version, the first thing I do is checkut the changelog.
Having to hunt for it online is a minor hassle, it's convenient when it's provided in the gem.

Sorry, something went wrong.
I usually just look in the unpacked gem on my hard disk (on debian, /var/lib/gems/1.8/gems/gnuplot-2.3.3/)
There's no readme there at the moment either - the gem has a single file (lib/gnuplot.rb).
oh wow. LOL that is almost embarrassing I was so bad with gems at the time I built that. Ok try it now.
