[Bug]: Broken inline JS on documentation index page

Describe the bug 🐞

When browsing the index page for the documentation section, previously inline JavaScript renders (incorrectly) as text due to the change to .md format. Additionally the variables set by the JS that are referenced in the rest of the page also render as text.

Step to reproduce

1. Go to reactiveui.net/docs/index.html
2. At top of page, and at "started @projectAge years ago"

There should be no rendered JS, and @projectAge should be the actual project age as a number.
