The game still has some issues mostly with the framerate.

Some bugs with the 60fps that occur only on windows 10:

  • The 60fps can cause some of the vegetable patches in Wildlands to be bugged and non interactable. Seems to have happened only for some ppl,
  • At 60fps you have to interact with an object or quest marker twice to get the game to register the input.

More worryingly the major windows build after 1909 has broken some of the battle voiceovers in the game by outright muting them. This isn't frame rate related and more info on this can be found in this following steam thread:

Thanks for listing the issues. None of those seem simple to fix, I don't really have time to do it right now.

Unrelated, but could you update your guides to tell users to use the latest version and rename the dxvk dll to dxvk.dll?

If users are still having severe performance issues, they can try the new DiscardUIVertexBuffer, but it is experimental, I don't know what issues (if any) may occur when using it

Sure thing. I will update the guides. Can I suggest them to use an older version of the FF13 fix if in case they are facing any issues with the newer version ?

Also somebody had this issue of vertical and horizontal lines show up in the middle of their screen when resolution is set to 3840x2160. if they set it to 1920x1080 these lines move to the top left. I linked them the 1.4.6 version of the fix and that seems to have fixed the issue they were facing. So is that bug fixed in the newer version ?

I cannot reproduce, but I believe all resolution related bugs are fixed in 1.6.0.

I guess having 1.4.4 as a fallback is okay until we figure out #49

I think that problem with lines was related to viewport size change/offset, now in 1.6.0 there is much better fix by @rebtd7 so viewport size stays untouched.

I have updated the guides with the required information. Feel free to let me know if I need to add anything else about the fix to the guides.

@Surihix I've found that using the 4GB patch on FF13 can reduce crashes (especially with dxvk), perhaps that should be added to the guide (check the README for instructions, as it is not as simple as in FF13-2)

...this is getting way too complicated unfortunately...

I will add the information about the 4gb patch to my XIII guide pretty soon.

Quick heads up. Square has patched the voice over bug today with an update for LR.
